Parks and Recreation is an NBC sitcom created by Greg Daniels and Michael Schur part of NBC's hit show, The Office: An American Workplace.It first aired on April 9, 2009, and was later renewed for a second season of 24 episodes, despite low ratings. In January 2010, it was renewed for a third season. It features the daily lives of the people involved in the Pawnee Parks and Recreation department and local government.
