Nathaniel Bixby Mark was a pioneer who was killed by a Native American tribe known as the Wamapoke in Pawnee, Indiana during the 1700s. After trading the Wamapokes a baby for what is now Indianapolis, they killed him and cut off his face, using it as a dream catcher, and made his legs into rain sticks.
