Club Swanson is a hardcore nature club led by Ron Swanson. In "Pawnee Rangers", Ron is disappointed to find that the boys in his Pawnee Rangers Club aren't interested in outdoor survival activities, such as rationing food, building a tent from a canvas, and other techniques. Leslie Knope decides to put out an advertisement to help Ron start a club with kids interested in what he's interested in.
