Fairway Frank was a possum that bit the Mayor's dog on the local golf course in the episode The Possum. He was tackled by Andy Dwyer who handed the creature to Animal Control. The possum was supposed to be exterminated, but Leslie Knope saw another possum on the field, causing her to rethink her assumption that the possum was Fairway Frank. Leslie decides to free the animal after discovering the mayor wants to hang it over his urinal. April Ludgate helps Leslie by taking the possum to Ann Perkins's house which April is housesitting.
In the end Leslie decides to take the possum to the Pawnee Zoo.
